Critical Illness

Thanks to improved health care, you are more likely to survive a serious medical condition than ever before. However, you may have to adjust your lifestyle to suit your new circumstances. Critical Illness Cover can enable you to receive a cash lump sum on the diagnosis of a qualifying illness, minimising financial hardship and stress within your family.

 Did you know...
  - Over 50% of all critical illness claims made in 2007 relate to cancer.
  •   - The most common age of a claimant in 2007 was 45 and 71% of all claimants      are aged 50 or under.
  •   - Around 8000 women under 50 are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK.
  •   - The most common cause of cancer for men aged between 20-39 is testicular cancer.

Please note that not all forms of cancer are covered by these policies. Source for these statistics were from claims paid by Legal and General Group plc.
